SSH: Secure Shell is a program to log
into another computer over a network, to execute commands in a remote
machine, and to move files from one machine to another. It provides
strong authentication and secure communications over insecure channels.
It is a replacement for telnet, rlogin, rsh, and rdist
BCISGNet provides access to its' [Hosted Websites] source folders/directories and files via the SFTP or SCP protocols using the [OpenSSH] library. However the SSH itself has been disabled as shell access to
accounts is not required. All functionality for user administration for its' TLS/SSL Secured Email services is
provided by the web based [BCISGNet UserMin] control interface.
