To be a eligible for Hosting Services with BCISGNet the requesting organisation will be required to be a bona fide Christian Church, Mission, Ministry or Charity. In most cases status can be confirmed by BCISGNet from existing sources e.g. membership of the 'Evangelical Alliance', an entry in the 'Catholic Directory of England and Wales', or membership in your local 'Council of Churches' etc. However when appropriate status can not be established by BCISGNet, the requesting organisation will be required to provide appropriate proof of status, along with a statement of belief.

For Commercial and Private TLS/SSL Secured Internet Hosting Services may we recommend our sponsors XSecHosting and XSystems Consultants UK Ltd for Network/Service Architecture & Design Services. Using these service providers for Hosting, Network/Service Architecture & Design provides the resources and funding that makes BCISNet possible.

Fair use of Bandwidth and System Resources

Bandwidth allocation and server processor, disk and memory resources are finite. BCISGNet operates a fair usage policy, and  may implement the policy to its sole discretion: When a website found to be monopolising the resources available, the account holder(s) will be contacted in order to discuss the situation. If no arrangement can be reached, BCISGNet reserves the right to terminate the account.

Disk Space

BCISGNet operates a 250Mb storage and 1.5GB/month transfer guide line for each organisation. This guideline includes emails. When using IMAPs (where email is stored on the server) we recommend users download and store email localy and keep the amount stored on the server to a minimum, and practice good house keeping ie. compact all folders regularly and empty the trash daily. In cases where more than 250Mb are required, BCISGNet is only to happy to discuss requirements with the aim of coming to a practical solution. Additional bandwidth can be purchased from our sponsors XSecHosting.

Backups

Ultimately each account holder is responsible for their own content, email and or any other data stored on the BCISGNet Servers. Web site backups are expected to be kept 'off server' by the account holder(s). CMS databases are backed up nightly and made available to the account holder(s) for download.

While server backups are done nightly to disk, final content responsibility is with the account holder(s). In the rare event of all disks failing. BCISGNet will contact the account holder(s), advise of the situation and the requirements for site/service restoration.

Service Use

BCISGNet does not condone the use of language or dissemination of material inappropriate to the Christian Faith, leading to, or incitement of' defamation, or discrimination of 3rd parties (in terms of Ephesians 6:12).

As BCISGNet is hosted in the UK and therefore subject to UK Law, any content or material found to be breaking UK law will also have to be removed.
